Tony Alford Had A Cryptic Tweet Towards Ohio State Fans On His Way Out To Michigan

Alford quoted a tweet pointing fingers at a video of Illinois basketball coach Brad Underwood. The caption on the tweet was, “If they hate you when you leave, you did a good job.” Brad Underwood gives an honest look into the conditional love that comes from fanbases and the confusing effects it can have on your family.”

In the video, Underwood was talking about how his family was having a hard time with people when he decided to leave being the head coach at Oklahoma State and take the head job at Illinois around seven years ago. He talked about how they had to pull his son out of Oklahoma State after an incident at the rec center one night, and he’s talking about how if the fans don’t like you because you leave, that means you did a great job. 

Alford wanted to quote that video of Underwood talking about fans hating him when you leave and pointing fingers at it. Do we know what Alford truly is? Meaning? No, but I sure can guess.

Was Alford Going After OSU Fans?

Weirdly, he would quote that tweet a week after leaving for Michigan. He has to be going after Ohio State fans who had something to say about him leaving and joining their biggest rival. 

Whatever Alford decides to do with his life is up to him, and if Michigan is better for him and his family, then he had to take that job but don’t be coming after Ohio State fans because they are mad you left their team and joined a team they spend 365 days hating. 

I’m sure Buckeye fans aren’t even mad that you left; they are just mad you went to Michigan, and now they can’t wait to beat you the last Saturday in November.
