The Ohio State Buckeyes have been great recruiters historically, and recently under coach Ryan Day. That's especially true at the wide receiver position and helped by position coach Brian Hartline.

The Buckeyes seemingly steal top talent and top recruits each season, and the 2024 cycle is no exception. Now, Hartline, Day, and Company are focusing on 2025 with an offer to another top recruit at wide receiver.

On Thursday, the Buckeyes offered 2025 wideout De'zie Jones. Jones is a 6-0, 180-pounder from New Jersey and is the No. 42 wideout nationally, the No. 242 player overall in the country, and the No. 8 receiver from the state. Those aren't the highest of rankings, but if Hartline is interested and offering, then there shouldn't be any question that the kid can play.

Jones posted a message of thanks on social media for his offer from Ohio State. "Blessed and honored to receive an offer from Ohio State University. #humble #GlorytoGod"

In 11 games during his sophomore season at DePaul Catholic (NJ), Jones registered 56 catches for 923 yards and five touchdowns with an average of 16.5 yards per catch. This year, through three games, the speedster receiver has notched 17 catches for 349 yards and three touchdowns for an average of 20.5 yards per catch and just over 116 yards receiving per game.

Jones has double-digit offers to consider, including Kentucky, Rutgers, Syracuse, Maryland, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, and others. Jones could join 2024 standout commits Jeremiah Smith, Mylan Graham, and Jeremiah McClellan in the wideout room as Harline and Day continue to build for the future.
